We'd hoped Priya Ray, the violinist and principal bad-ass of South Florida psych-punk noise-hippies Kreamy 'Lectric Santa, would regain complete mobility after her devastating fall in 1998. These pieces were dedicated to the possibilities of recovery.
The first, "New Walking Song for Priya," was sculpted from a pair of dub text mixes for the "Wigmaker" outtake "Mounting the Artificial Mare." It was completed on October 16, 2000. Two days later I remixed the entirety of KLS's 1995 album "Da Bronx Sity Chicken Machine Vol. 2," and this distillation became "New Leaping Anthem for Priya."
Offered then, as now, with affection and best wishes to Frau Ray and the extended KLS freak family.
